The Budardalur camping site is located within a beautiful grove. The Budardalur camping site is a great site for tents since you have the trees sheltering the tent on windy days.
The campground is in the middle of the village on the left hand side arriving from the south on road no 60, opposite of the patrol station and grocery store.
In the service house you can find hot and cold running water, shower and toilets, a washing room with washer and dryer and a small common room and kitchenette with a kettle, microwave and an induction cooking plate. At the entrance to the campground you can find the wastewater disposal.
We have electrical outlets both on the upper site for camper vans and trailers as well as the lower site for tents 🏕️.
In the close neighborhood you can find grocery-,handicrafts- and convenient stores, restaurants, coffee shops, post office and ATM. A sports area, football field, playground, frisbee golf and jumping pillow.
Dalir is a family oriented destination. There is a lot of history in the area such as the Icelandic sagas Laxdaela, Sturlunga and Erikssaga. You can visit Holarfarm petting zoo, Erpstadir creamery, Dalahestar horse rental, Eirikstadir Viking museum and many more. Fish in the lakes, go hiking, birdwatching.
