A new camp site that opened in 2011. The camp site is located on the left side when arriving to Hellissandur from the town Rif
The camp site is located in a beautiful lava called Sandahraun. The area has a service house with toilets, showers and washbins. There is electricity in the area as well as wifi.
Many nice walking paths are close by and beautiful sandy beaches. The sunset seen from the camp site are beyond compare and the next door neighbour is the magnificent glacier Snæfellsjökull
The camp site is operated by the information center in Snæfellsbæ that is located in the next town, Ólafsvík, about 9 km distance from Hellissandur.
