The Heydalur camping site is located 130 km from Isafjordur, 110km from Holmavik. Once you arrive into the valley you drive 12 km to the camping site that is located by the hotel. The site is well maintained, in a pieceful area far away from traffic and close to the river Heydalsá. In the valley you’ll find beautiful canyons and waterfalls.
At the camp site there is a bath house with hot water, showers and flushing toilets. There are electricity plugs for RV’s and trailers. On the other side of the river Heydalsá there is a natural hot tub. A small indoor pool in a greenhouse with hot tubs outside. A playground for children and young adults. In the surrounding area there is a great opportunity to enjoy the natures true beauty. In the spring the bird life is spectacular. Close to the campsite there is a restaurant offering a variety of dishes. The restaurant uses a great deal of ingredients brought in from the surrounding farms. Also there is a talking parrot, kayaks to rent and horseback riding tours to take.
