The camp site Heiðarbaer is well located 5 star camp site with space for folding campers as well as mobile homes. The camp site has good facilities such as toilets, cooking facilities and much more.
The camp site is only a short distance from many of the most popular tourist attractions in northern Iceland such as Lake Mývant, the waterfall Goðafoss, Ásbyrgi, the canyon Jökulsárglúfur and the fishing river Laxá in Aðardal. The camp site is between the town of Húsavík and lake Mývant by highway no. 87, about 20 km distance from Húsavík.
At the camp site you can enjoy your stay in a relaxing environment. There is a swimming pool with two hut tubs as well as a restaurant and a bar. Hveravellir is about 400 meters away where there is gardening and vegetables for sale. Also at Hveravelli is the geysir Ystihver which is the largest geysir in northern Iceland. There is also a horse rental in about 15 km distance where the facilities for horses are great. You will also be able to go fishing at Heiðarbær for a modest price. It is possible to go fishing in the lakes Langavatn and Kringluvatn.
By the camp site you will also find a soccer field, miniture golf and a playground.
